- Some years ago, I happened upon an old bookseller's store and found a small,
privately-printed book languishing at the bottom of a dusty carton. The author was Hughes Jackson, and this English
gentleman's story, penned in 1855, traced the highlights of his three year voyage around the world, all in 15 pages.
- We have enlarged the original font and embellished the text with a number of period engravings to make this
slim volume as fresh and vibrant as when it first appeared 150 years ago.
